Prof. Lu is a Professor of Ophthalmology at the Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center of Sun Yat-Sen University, the leading eye hospital in China. Prof. Lu is a specialist in orbital diseases, ocular tumors and oculoplastic surgery. She is also one of few surgeons who perform minimal invasive transnasal endoscopy for ocular and orbital operations. Apart being a well-reputed ophthalmic clinician, she is appointed as a primary investigator in the State Key Laboratory of Ophthalmology. Her research interests cover ophthalmic conditions at the orbit, oculoplastic and ocular oncology, and several major grant supports were earned.
Prof. Lu gained her PhD degree at Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Sun Yat-sen University and was trained in at Cullen Eye Institute, Baylor College Medical School for her postdoctoral fellowship. She has authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications in journals including Stem Cells, American Journal of Opthalmology, Plastic & Reconstruction Surgery, Journal of Plastic Reconstructive Aesthetic Surgery. She is also a member in review panels in several ophthalmology journals such as British Journal of Ophthalmology, Molecular vision, Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. Prof. Lu is an active member in several medical societies in China, including Chinese Medical Doctor Association - Oculoplastic & Orbital Disease Committee, Chinese Anticancer Society - Ocular Oncology Sector.
