Dr. Vujosevic is currently the head of Medical Retina Service at the University Hospital, “Maggiore della Carita”, Novara, Italy. She received her degree in Medicine and Surgery, residency in Ophthalmology and PhD in Clinical Methodology, Endocrinological and Diabetological Sciences at the University of Padova in Italy. Fellowship in Medical retina at the Moorfields Eye Hospital in London with Professor Alan C. Bird. Research Fellowship at the Reading Centre, Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. She was a contract researcher at the G.B. Bietti Eye Foundation, IRCCS, Rome from 2007-2012. Full time Medical Retina consultant and ophthalmic surgeon at the University Hospital of Padova 2012-2017. Medical Director and R&D Director of the International Microperimetry Reading Centre, certified by the European Vision Institute from 2007-2017. 

Dr. Vujosevic is the fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO). Member of the European Reading Centre Expert Committee, the Macula Society, the Association for the Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), the Board of Directors of The International Retinal Laser Society (LIGHT), the EURETINA, the European Association For The Study of Diabetes (EASDec), the Italian Retina Society and the Italian Society of Ophthalmologists (SOI). 

Her major national and international awards include: SOI/SOE award lecture “Neuroretinal Inflammation in Diabetes Mellitus” and Women’s Leadership Development in ARVO Program. She serves as the examiner at the European Board of Ophthalmology (EBO) certification exam since 2013 and as the member of the Publications Committee of the ARVO.   

Dr. Vujosevic is the member of the editorial board of IOVS and Acta Ophthalmologica and section editor for ophthalmology of Medicine. Her major research interests are vascular and degenerative retinal and choroidal diseases, with particular interest in the study of biochemical, molecular and imaging biomarkers and diagnostic techniques in ophthalmology. She currently oversees international research projects and carries out clinical activities concerning screening, morphological and functional (microperimetry) instrumental diagnoses, subthreshold micropulse laser and intravitreal and surgical treatment of degenerative chorioretinal pathologies. She has participated in numerous international randomized multicenter (phase II and III) clinical trials. She has authored numerous papers published in major international ophthalmological journals and book chapters. She has supervised numerous thesis in Medical School graduation and Specialization in Ophthalmology and has served as the member of the assessment committees of international PhD thesis.
