Research Interests: ocular surface and ocular inflammation; dry eye; uveitis; new dry eye therapies
Dr. Kenneth Ooi is a consultant general ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon with an interest in the ocular surface and ocular inflammation including dry eye inflammatory states.
Dr. Ooi undertook clinical research fellowships in cornea at the Prince of Wales and Sydney Eye Hospitals in Sydney and in uveitis at Moorfields Eye Hospital and the Institute of Ophthalmology in London. He is currently conducting dry eye research as a Clinical Senior Lecturer through the Save Sight Institute, University of Sydney. He is also an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the School of Medical Sciences, University of New South Wales.
Dr. Ooi has a number of dry eye and uveitis publications, is on various pharmaceutical educational as well as medical advisory boards for the introduction of new dry eye therapies into Australia and has a patent on a novel dry eye drop.
