Dr. Subhi obtained his BSc, MD and PhD degrees at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He has previously worked as a clinical research fellow and postdoctoral researcher with a strong focus on chorioretinal diseases at Zealand University Hospital, Roskilde, Denmark. He is currently pursuing his clinical career as ophthalmology resident at Rigshospitalet-Glostrup, Glostrup, Denmark. Dr. Subhi has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed articles, several book chapters, and has given several invited lectures. He is author of a patent on biomarkers for polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy. Using his broad expertise in clinical, translational, and educational research, his current research focus is evidence synthesis and evidence-based medicine in ophthalmology. Dr. Subhi is member of the Danish Ophthalmological Society, EURETINA (European Society of Retina Specialists), and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO). He is founder of Retinaloge meetings for young retinal researchers in Denmark. He serves as a board member of the Young Retinal Specialists (YOURS) of EURETINA and as advisory board member of the journals Advances in Therapy and Ophthalmology & Therapy. He regularly serves as reviewer for international journals.
